A Mandalay Muslim who went to mosque for prayer killed by terrorist mob

The religious violence that has been broken out since July 1st is still out of control and in fact it is escalating with more casualties. According to Irrawaddy news media, one person was hacked to death last night.

This morning, an innocent civilian who went to the mosque for dawn prayer was attacked by terrorists. The 51 years old U Soe Min, the owner of “Myanmar Nyunt” bicycle shop located on 83rd street and 31st street Mandalay was killed this morning.

Ko Soe Min 7At dawn, he went to South Owe Bo mosque situated at 29th street and 83rd street. Just after he locked up his bicycle and walked towards the mosque, the terrorist mob arrived and beat him to death. Although there were people witnessing this grievous incident, no one dared to halt them and rescue him. Only after the mob left, he was brought to emergency department. However he died of head injury caused by assault.

U Soe Min from Mandalay is a peace activist and he will be remembered for his selfless service to his people and country. U Soe Min left his wife and two preteen daughters.

The religious violence started on July 1st is still in full swing with the mob freely moving around the city and doing terrorist acts. The analysts who closely monitored the Mandalay violence point out the fact that Mandalay division government and security forces’ failure to control the situation indicates that they are supporting these terrorist activities.
