-Myanmar government has ordered all four telecommunication companies to block access to more than two hundreds websites including licensed news agencies seemed to contain adult contents, child pornographic contents and fake news.
Telenor – Norway based communication company – said in a statement issued on March 30 that company had to ban browsing to 221 websites under the new government order.
Some licensed news agencies including VOM (Voice of Myanmar), DMG (Development Media Group), Mandalay In-depth and Mekong New are in the ban-list.
BBC Burmese reported that access to above registered news agencies using mobile data had been denied but it still can see with Wifi connection.
