It has been reported that the Mosque and Muslim properties in Oke Pho, Tharwadi District, Bago Division have been destroyed since 12 am.
A mob has been destroying the Mosque, Madrasah (religious school) and houses owned by the Muslims.
“People from nearby villages lead the mob. There are about 1000 people in the mob. Police and armed-forces were also there, but as the mob outnumbered, they retreated.” An eye-witness said to M-Media.
There are about 70 Muslim houses with the Muslim population of approximately 200 people, a Mosque and a religious school at Oak Pho.
