    Reporting by Tun Taut

Buddhist Rakhines burnt down six villages in Minpyar, according to a local resident from Minpyar.

“Muslim villages named Pait Sit, Turali, Samli, Aungdai, Latma and another one have gone completely because Rakhine terrorists burnt them down. Pait Sit had 500 to 600 houses and 3 mosques. Entire village is gone now. In Turali, there were 700 to 800 houses and two mosques. That village was also burnt down completely. The military shot dead 3 Mawlawi (religious leaders) and 4 other persons. Two other villages, Samli and Aungdai, were burnt down since yesterday evening”

The resident told M-Media, “Latma village is currently burning. It has more than 1,500 houses and 9 mosques. I had contact earlier [with the village], but I lost contact”. There are military units in those villages, but the army shoot if Muslims react. People have no where to go, so they can only run and hide in the forest”.

M-Media learns that there are 14 villages in Minpyar. Out of 14 villages, six have been burnt down completely.

Muslims’ homes in Mrauk U, Arakan state, are being burnt down since this morning.

Buddhist Arakans have already burnt down houses in Purain village, which is a Muslim village with more than 1,200 houses and 8 mosques.

More than half of the houses and a mosque were burnt to ground.

A man and a woman were also killed today. There are more injured and death including children but exact numbers cannot be confirmed yet.

At the moment of this interview, Buddhist Arakans have also started burning houses in Rantae and Zeeza villages. Rantae has more than 800 houses and four mosques, and Zeeza has about 800 houses and five mosques.

Our local contact informs us that Arakans are now planning to attack Pipinyin village.

“In Arakan state, there were more Muslims than Buddhist Rakhings before the conflict. Now there are only one third of the Muslim population left because of terrors and murders by Rakhings. I heard there are already one million Muslims who have escaped to Bangladesh. We are feeling sad and sorry. We heard they will attack the town of Kyautphy at noon. Please pray for us”, a local contact told M-Media in tears.

Rakhine Terrorists Burnt Down A Mosque in Kyauk Phyu

    Kyauk Phyu Township

There are 12 wards in Kyauk Phyu Township, Rakhine State and a mosque in West Ward was burnt down by Rakhine extremists at night on 22nd Oct. Very few Muslims live near that mosque. As a result, Muslims were not ready to protect the mosque against this arson. The authorities of Kyauk Phyu District have confirmed this news. At the present, army squads have covered that ward.

Most of those terrorists are not local residents but came from other townships. Only a handful of local people co-operated that mob to commit this crime. Rakhine Buddhists and Muslims had harmoniously co-existed in Kyauk Phyu Township before this criminal offence.

A Kyauk Phyu resident told M-Media that Thantwe Muslims now become worried about a consequential catalogue of terrorist attacks because of this terrorist outrage in Kyauk Phyu although solely two townships-Thantwe and Kyauk Phyu do not involve in Rakhine conflict.
